The Opportunity

Our client, an established FMCG organisation, is seeking a commercially driven Regional Business Development Executive to support its continued expansion across the Asia-Pacific region.

This role offers exposure to regional market development, distributor management, sales strategy and cross-functional execution. It is suitable for an FMCG sales professional looking to progress beyond local account management and gain broader regional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned APAC markets.
  • Identify new markets, customers, distributors and business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver commercial proposals and presentations to prospective and existing partners.
  • Build long-term relationships with distributors, business partners and key accounts.
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing on market-specific campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performance, market trends, competitor activities and customer insights.
  • Support sales forecasting, KPI tracking and return-on-investment analysis.
  • Prepare management reports and recommend strategies to improve market performance.
  • Manage customer enquiries and coordinate internally to resolve commercial or operational issues.
  • Deliver agreed sales targets and contribute to sustainable revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of sales or business development experience within the FMCG sector.
  • Experience working with distributors, regional customers or international markets is advantageous.
  • Strong commercial awareness, numerical ability and analytical skills.
  • Confident in preparing proposals, presenting recommendations and negotiating with business partners.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in an additional regional language would be advantageous.
  • Willing to travel overseas regularly for business.
