The posting

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to support the company's growth initiatives and strengthen the market presence of our audio and video products. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and business partners, developing and executing strategic promotional activities, and providing valuable market insights and feedback to management.

We are looking for a driven and experienced individual with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills who can actively contribute to the company's business expansion. Through the candidate's expertise and dedication, we aim to enhance customer satisfaction, increase market awareness, grow our client portfolio, and support the continued success of Focus Audio Singapore Pte. Ltd.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Identify and research potential customers, business partners, and market opportunities relevant to the company’s audio and video products.

2. Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing and prospective customers through regular communication and follow-ups.

3. Introduce and present the company’s audio and video products to potential customers, providing accurate and relevant product information.

4. Arrange and coordinate product discussions, demonstrations, meetings, and business appointments with prospective customers and partners.

5. Conduct market research to monitor customer preferences, industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.

6. Gather and document customer feedback, product inquiries, and market information to provide useful insights to management.

7. Prepare business development materials, product presentations, quotations, and follow-up communications as required.

8. Assist in identifying suitable business collaborations, networking opportunities, and promotional activities that can strengthen the company’s market presence

Technical Skills and Competencies

1. Business Development Skills – Ability to identify potential business opportunities, prospective customers, and suitable business partnerships.

2. Market Research Skills – Able to conduct basic market research and analyse customer preferences, industry trends, and competitor activities.

3. Product Knowledge – Good understanding of audio and video products and the ability to explain product features and applications clearly.

4. Customer Relationship Management – Proficient in maintaining customer records, tracking follow-ups, and managing business communications.

5. Presentation Skills – Ability to prepare and deliver clear product presentations, demonstrations, and business proposals.

6. Communication Skills – Strong written and verbal communication skills for communicating with customers, suppliers, and business partners.

7. Digital & Office Skills – Competent in Microsoft Office applications, email communication, online research, and basic digital business tools.

8. Documentation & Reporting – Ability to prepare business development reports, customer feedback summaries, market research findings, and follow-up records accurately.

Duration of Traineeship/Attachment Offered - 6 months

Mature Mid Career Individuals - $2,800

This Position is open for mid career individuals (Mature, 40 years and above).
