About the Role

Launch Industries is a venture builder and corporate advisory firm supporting companies entering and growing in Singapore. We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to own business development, grants advisory and client project delivery. This is an independent, ownership-level role, you'll exercise judgment on client and scheme strategy, work directly with founders and senior stakeholders, and take full accountability for outcomes with minimal supervision.

Business Development

  • Independently manage the full sales cycle from lead qualification to signed engagement, including commercial terms discussion.
  • Own and maintain accuracy of CRM and pipeline records for your accounts.
  • Lead preparation of client outreach materials, presentations and proposals.
  • Lead client meetings and business development conversations directly, without requiring a senior team member present.
  • Drive qualified opportunities through the pipeline to close, with minimal follow-up needed from above.

Grants Advisory

  • Advise clients on scheme selection and sequencing based on business objectives and eligibility windows.
  • Independently prepare grant applications and business cases, ensuring commercial and factual accuracy before client review.
  • Coordinate documentation requirements directly with clients, resolving gaps without escalation.
  • Track and manage application progress including funder correspondence.
  • Own the relationship with contacts for your accounts, including handling more complex eligibility questions.

Client Project Coordination

  • Own delivery accountability for multi-workstream client projects end to end.
  • Coordinate directly with clients, internal teams and external vendors, resolving cross-party issues independently.
  • Prepare and finalise meeting minutes, project trackers and follow-up actions for your accounts.
  • Identify and resolve delivery risks early, escalating to the Corporate Partner only on genuine exceptions.

Internal Collaboration

  • Provide structured pipeline and project status updates to the Corporate Partner.
  • Where relevant, guide or review the work of a Business Development Executive on shared accounts.
  • Work closely with the wider Launch team to ensure smooth, consistent client delivery.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Management or related discipline.
  • 4–7 years of experience in business development, consulting, advisory, grants or related client-facing role.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of at least one grant application, from strategy through submission to approval/disbursement.
  • Comfortable making independent judgment calls on scheme selection, client scoping and commercial terms.
  • Able to translate a client's business plan into clear, funder-eligible objectives, outcomes and ROI.
  • Experience reviewing, checking or informally mentoring the work of a junior colleague is a plus, even outside a formal management title.
  • Strong written and verbal English.
  • Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred, role involves direct engagement with our largely Taiwanese and Chinese-speaking client base.
  • Comfortable working independently and owning outcomes without close supervision.
