The posting

Gen Art Asia is an integrated events and exhibitions specialist providing end-to-end solutions across custom exhibition booths, corporate events, brand activations, retail displays, signage, printing and bespoke fabrication.

With our in-house production capabilities, we take projects from creative concept through fabrication and on-site installation. We are looking for an experienced Senior Events Sales Manager to drive new business, grow strategic accounts and strengthen our market presence.

This is a senior, sales-focused role for someone with strong industry connections, commercial acumen and a proven ability to convert client requirements into successful event and exhibition solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies across exhibitions, corporate events, brand activations, retail displays and custom fabrication.
  • Identify and secure new business from corporate clients, event agencies, exhibition organisers, overseas exhibitors and strategic partners.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, referrals, networking and industry events.
  • Lead client meetings to understand their objectives, requirements, budgets and decision-making processes.
  • Work closely with our design, production and project teams to develop creative, practical and commercially competitive solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, tenders and solution pitches.
  • Negotiate pricing, project scope and commercial terms while protecting project margins.
  • Take ownership of revenue, gross-profit and sales-conversion targets.
  • Grow existing accounts through repeat business, cross-selling and long-term account development.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates on pipeline activity and performance.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors and upcoming exhibitions to identify new opportunities.
  • Ensure confirmed projects are handed over smoothly to our project and operations teams.
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery and conduct post-project follow-up.
  • Guide and support junior sales or account-servicing team members where required.

What We Are Looking For

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management, Communications or a related discipline.
  • At least 7–10 years of sales or business development experience within events, exhibitions, experiential marketing, advertising, interior fit-out or a related project-based industry.
  • Proven record of achieving revenue and gross-profit targets.
  • Established network of corporate clients, agencies, exhibition organisers, exhibitors or relevant industry partners.
  • Experience managing the complete sales cycle—from prospecting and needs analysis to proposal, negotiation and closing.
  • Strong understanding of event costing, project margins and production considerations.
  • Confident presentation, negotiation and senior stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to translate client objectives into practical and commercially viable solutions.
  • Self-driven, resourceful and comfortable developing new business independently.
  • Able to manage multiple opportunities and client requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable attending client meetings, networking activities and events outside regular office hours when required.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Exhibition booths and trade shows
  • Corporate events and brand activations
  • Retail displays, pop-ups and roadshows
  • Custom carpentry and event fabrication
  • Signage and large-format printing
  • Tender submissions and regional projects
  • Key-account or sales-team leadership If you have the industry experience, commercial drive and relationships to grow with us, we would like to hear from you. Interested applicants are invited to email their profiles to [email protected], stating their current and expected salary, notice period and relevant sales achievements.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
