Job Summary

We are seeking a Business System Analyst to support the implementation of a Treasury Back-Office system for an international bank. The role will work with the Lead Business Analyst, Treasury Operations, Head Office (HO), IT, implementation teams and other stakeholders across FX, Money Market and Securities operations.

The role will cover requirements analysis, business process analysis, fit-gap assessment, functional documentation, system integration, testing/UAT, defect management, data migration and validation, with a focus on system functionality, operational workflows, data integrity and implementation readiness.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements; perform fit-gap analysis of existing and To-Be processes for FX, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, Money Market Lending/Borrowing, Bonds and Bills.
  • Analyse product configurations, reference/static data and operational parameters and prepare BRDs, functional specifications, requirement traceability documents and issue logs.
  • Investigate functional issues using business scenarios, transaction data, system outputs and interface information; coordinate resolution with business, HO and IT teams.
  • Analyse system interfaces, data mappings, field-level mappings, message formats, integrations and processing rules.
  • Prepare test scenarios, test cases, expected results and test data; support system testing and UAT, defect logging, tracking, retesting and sign-off.
  • Support data migration, validation, reconciliation and source-to-target comparison, including migration rehearsals across test and production environments.
  • Validate migrated transactions, balances, reference data and reports and use SQL and Excel for data analysis, investigation and reconciliation.
  • Track issues, risks, actions, dependencies and project progress, and coordinate deliverables across business, HO, regional/cross-border and technology teams. Support production cutover and post-migration validation activities where required.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Banking, Finance or related discipline.
  • 5–7 years' experience as a Business Analyst / System Analyst, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional documentation and stakeholder management.
  • Hands-on experience in system testing/UAT, test scenarios, test cases, expected results, test data and defect tracking.
  • Experience in data migration, validation, reconciliation and source-to-target comparison.
  • Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills, with attention to data accuracy and system outputs.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear, functional and testable specifications.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, coordination, ownership and ability to manage multiple deliverables, issues, risks and project milestones.

Preferred / Advantageous

  • Experience in Treasury/Treasury Operations or Treasury Back-Office implementation.
  • Knowledge of FX, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, Money Market Lending/Borrowing, Bonds and Bills.
  • Banking system implementation/transformation experience.
  • Experience with interfaces, data mappings, message formats and system integrations.
  • Hands-on SQL and Excel experience for data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Experience with Head Office, regional/cross-border teams, migration rehearsals, production cutover and post-migration validation.
