Broadcom Central Engineering is looking for a qualified individual who can provide best-in-class development and support for CAD tool flows focused on advanced process nodes.
Responsibilities:
- This individual will be hands-on, heavily involved in day-to-day support of design/layout issues and develop, maintain, and support utilities to improve productivity.
- Hands-on, daily support for design/layout issues.
- Interact with EDA vendors, PDK development, and process technology teams to provide timely solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and support utilities to improve productivity.
- Create documentation and provide hands-on training for design engineers as needed.
Prior experience in several of the following areas is required:
- SKILL programming language to customize layout environments and develop productivity utilities.
- Creation and maintenance of CAD PDK environments (tool installations, layout environment customization, etc.).
- Exposure to EDA tools and flows for advanced chip design.
- Exposure to Physical Verification flows (DRC, LVS).
- Exposure to circuit simulation and tools.
- Experience with QA flows, creation of QA test cases, and development of QA infrastructure.
- Experience with AI tools for code generation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science plus 2+ years of experience.
- Solid background in programming skills, layout, and physical verification challenges.
- User-level familiarity with related CAD Tools (e.g., Calibre, Virtuoso Layout).
- Experience in all phases of CAD tools, including evaluation, QA, testing, release, user support, and documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
