- Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $3200 + Variable Bonus + Health Insurance + Commission

About the role
We are looking for a hands-on technician to diagnose, service and repair photographic equipment, including digital, mirrorless and DSLR cameras, lenses, flashes, studio lighting, dry cabinets and accessories. The role requires careful handling of delicate, high-value equipment and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults in cameras, lenses and related equipment.
- Carry out repairs, servicing, adjustments, calibration and component replacement.
- Perform sensor and lens cleaning, and general equipment maintenance.
- Use technical manuals, diagrams and diagnostic tools to identify faults.
- Test equipment after repair and record findings, parts used and service history.
- Inspect incoming equipment and identify additional faults where applicable.
- Explain repair findings to the relevant team or customers when required.
- Handle and store customer equipment carefully, and keep the repair workstation organised.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers or service centres for technical support when needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in camera, photographic equipment or electronics repair
- Practical knowledge of cameras, lenses and photographic accessories.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electronic systems, with experience using precision tools and testing equipment.
- Able to read technical manuals, service documents and diagrams.
- Careful, methodical and responsible when handling delicate equipment.
- Able to work independently and communicate repair findings clearly.
- Basic computer skills for service records and documentation.
