Job Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and overall performance of our learning centre.
The Centre Manager will be responsible not only for centre operations, but also for student enrolment, sales conversion, customer retention, team performance and centre growth. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a target-driven environment and have a strong passion for education and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Centre Growth & Enrolment
- Achieve monthly targets for lead generation, student enrolment, sales and lead-to-enrolment conversion.
- Drive centre growth through effective sales activities, promotional initiatives and local outreach.
- Monitor the centre's enrolment and revenue performance and implement initiatives to improve results.
- Maintain and improve the trial-to-enrolment conversion rate to maximise the value of incoming leads.
- Identify opportunities to increase student enrolment, referrals, renewals and revenue.
2. Sales & Customer Engagement
- Lead and support the team in converting enquiries, leads and trial students into paid enrolments.
- Conduct consultations with parents and students to understand their learning needs and recommend suitable programmes.
- Handle customer enquiries, objections and feedback professionally.
- Organise and participate in sales activities, open houses, events and other enrolment initiatives.
- Follow up with prospective customers to improve conversion and enrolment outcomes.
3. Customer Retention & Experience
- Build strong relationships with parents, students and key customers.
- Proactively address customer concerns and resolve issues to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Drive student retention, renewals and referrals.
- Monitor student turnover and implement appropriate retention initiatives.
- Ensure the team consistently delivers a high standard of customer service.
4. Team Management & Development
- Lead, coach and motivate centre staff to achieve individual and centre targets.
- Provide on-the-ground coaching and mentoring to improve sales and service performance.
- Set clear expectations and monitor individual team performance.
- Identify performance gaps and implement appropriate coaching or improvement plans.
- Develop and manage teacher growth plans to support centre performance and teaching quality.
5. Centre Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the learning centre and ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Manage class schedules, staffing, customer enquiries and other operational matters.
- Ensure centre policies, procedures and service standards are consistently followed.
- Coordinate with teachers, operations, marketing and other internal teams where required.
- Ensure the centre is well-maintained and provides a professional and welcoming environment for students and parents.
6. Performance & Reporting
- Track and analyse key centre KPIs, including leads, conversion, enrolment, retention and revenue.
- Provide regular performance updates and identify areas for improvement.
- Take ownership of centre performance and implement action plans to achieve business targets.
Job Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in centre management, education, retail, hospitality, sales or a similar customer-facing management role.
- Experience in education, tuition, enrichment, childcare or learning centres is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, enrolment, customer conversion or revenue generation.
- Experience managing and coaching a team, with the ability to drive individual and team performance.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills, particularly with parents and students.
- Strong commercial and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work towards sales, enrolment and retention KPIs.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle customer issues professionally.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident and comfortable engaging with parents, students and team members.
- Positive, energetic and proactive personality with a genuine interest in education and customer experience.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working retail hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- Candidates with experience managing a centre's revenue, enrolment or P&L will have an added advantage
Base Salary + Incentive (Base on number new enrollment)
