Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Joo Chiat, our tapas Spanish restaurant aims to bring the vibrant flavors and rich culinary traditions of Spain to the heart of Singapore. Alongside a curated selection of drinks, our menu will feature a variety of Spanish dishes thoughtfully created to delight and inspire.

Are you a passionate and dedicated chef looking to further your culinary career? We invite you to apply for the Chef de Partie position at our restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, where you will play an important role in creating exceptional dishes and supporting the daily operations of our kitchen.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistency in the taste, quality, temperature, presentation, and preparation of every dish served.
  • Assist the Sous Chef/Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, including the preparation of Spanish cuisine.
  • Prepare and organise mise-en-place for daily kitchen operations.
  • Follow recipes and preparation methods accurately to maintain consistency across all dishes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and stored according to proper food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation throughout service.
  • Maintain and upkeep kitchen machinery, equipment, and workstations.
  • Assist with the ordering, receiving, checking, and proper storage of inventory.
  • Monitor ingredient levels and communicate any shortages or quality concerns to the Sous Chef.
  • Minimise food wastage through proper preparation, portioning, and storage of ingredients.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service during busy periods.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate stock levels and ensuring ingredients are fresh and of good quality.
  • Support the training and guidance of junior kitchen team members when required.
  • Ensure the team complies with health and safety regulations throughout food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Assist with daily opening and closing duties, including kitchen preparation, cleaning, and equipment checks.
  • Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef and kitchen team regarding service requirements and any operational issues.

Who Are We Looking For:

  • A valid Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum Level 1).
  • A good understanding of ingredient preparation, handling, and storage.
  • A positive attitude towards learning and development. We welcome aspiring chefs with little to no experience in Spanish or tapas cuisine.
  • Someone who takes responsibility and pride in their work.
  • A passionate, hardworking individual who is eager to grow and develop their culinary skills.
  • Able to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to food quality and consistency.
