Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)

About the Company

My client is a rapidly growing AI and data-driven technology company focused on transforming how financial institutions acquire, assess, onboard, and serve customers.

As they enter their next phase of growth, they are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead their global revenue strategy, accelerate market expansion, and build a scalable commercial organization.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Commercial Strategy

  • Own and deliver overall revenue targets and commercial performance across all markets.
  • Define and execute the company's go-to-market strategy across banks, lenders, fintechs, digital platforms, and strategic partners.
  • Identify new revenue streams, product commercialization opportunities, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Establish revenue forecasting methodologies, sales metrics, and performance management frameworks.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth while maintaining customer acquisition efficiency and profitability.

Enterprise Sales Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end enterprise sales cycle from market prospecting through negotiation and contract closure.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite stakeholders across banking, financial services, fintech, and technology sectors.
  • Create strategic account management frameworks to drive customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales organization focused on execution excellence and predictable growth.
  • Improve sales effectiveness through process optimization, pipeline management, and performance analytics.

Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

  • Develop strategic partnerships with financial institutions, fintech companies, system integrators, technology vendors, consulting firms, and ecosystem partners.
  • Create and execute channel strategies to expand market reach and accelerate growth.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, partnership frameworks, and alliance programs.
  • Identify opportunities to embed the company's solutions into broader financial services ecosystems.

Customer Success & Retention

  • Partner closely with product, implementation, and customer success teams to maximize client satisfaction and long-term value.
  • Establish account growth strategies and customer expansion programs.
  • Monitor customer adoption metrics, retention rates, and revenue growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Ensure strong executive engagement with key enterprise customers.

Market Expansion

  • Develop strategies for expansion into new markets and customer segments.
  • Assess competitive landscapes, emerging trends, and market opportunities.
  • Build localized go-to-market plans that align with regional regulatory and commercial requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and executive forums.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, mentor, and scale high-performing sales, business development, and partnership teams.
  • Foster a results-oriented, accountable, and collaborative culture.
  • Establish clear KPIs, sales operating cadences, and revenue management processes.
  • Work closely with the CEO, Product, Operations, and Investor stakeholders on growth initiatives.

Requirements

Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise sales, business development, partnerships, or commercial leadership.
  • Proven experience in a CRO, VP Sales, VP Commercial, Head of Revenue, Country Manager, Managing Director, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong track record of exceeding revenue targets and scaling commercial organizations.
  • Experience selling enterprise technology, SaaS, AI, analytics, risk, lending, fraud, or financial technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated success working with banks, lenders, fintechs, and financial institutions.

Commercial & Leadership Capabilities

  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability.
  • Proven experience building and managing high-performance regional teams.
  • Expertise in enterprise sales methodologies, negotiation, and large deal management.
  • Strong commercial acumen, forecasting capability, and financial discipline.
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders and board-level decision makers.

Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of lending, credit risk, fraud management, digital onboarding, financial services, and digital transformation trends.
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, analytics, data platforms, or decision intelligence solutions is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments impacting financial institutions across Southeast Asia.
