Job Summary

We are seeking an engaging and passionate Part-Time Creative Chinese Drama Teacher to conduct enrichment lessons for preschool children and primary school students. The teacher will be responsible for delivering the curriculum provided, creating meaningful and interactive learning experiences, and developing children's confidence and interest in the Chinese language through drama-based activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Creative Chinese Drama enrichment lessons for preschool and primary school students using the curriculum and teaching materials provided.
  • Deliver lessons in accordance with the programme's learning objectives and teaching guidelines.
  • Create interactive, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences through storytelling, role-play, movement, speech, and drama activities.
  • Adapt teaching approaches and drama activities to suit the age, learning needs, and abilities of different students.
  • Observe students' learning and progress during lessons and provide appropriate guidance and support.
  • Proactively engage parents and communicate students' learning progress and development where required.
  • Attend required training sessions to familiarize with the programme curriculum and teaching approach.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Chinese Language, Education, Early Childhood Education, Drama, Performing Arts, or equivalent professional training.
  • Strong command of spoken Mandarin and able to conduct lessons confidently in Mandarin.
  • Able and confident to conduct Creative Chinese Drama lessons for groups of preschool and/or primary school students.
  • Expressive, energetic, and comfortable using storytelling, role-play, movement, and drama to engage young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Willing to travel and teach at different locations across Singapore.
  • Relevant teaching or drama experience is an advantage.
