Clinical Research Coordinator

Contract till 31 August 2027

Work Location: West/Central Employment Type: Contract till 31 August 2027, with possible renewal subject to performance and project extension

About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support a patient-based clinical research study within a primary healthcare setting. This role combines patient interaction, study coordination, clinical research administration and stakeholder management, and is suitable for candidates who enjoy working directly with patients while ensuring research activities are conducted accurately and according to protocol.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic patient assessments to determine study eligibility and support participant recruitment.
  • Facilitate informed consent and conduct baseline and outcome assessments in accordance with study protocols.
  • Administer study questionnaires and conduct scheduled telephone follow-ups with study participants.
  • Coordinate patient care and follow-up activities with physicians, health coaches, dietitians and other healthcare providers.
  • Arrange appointments, laboratory investigations and procedures according to study and care-team requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and complete research documentation, participant records and study data.
  • Track appointments, send reminders and follow up with participants who miss or reschedule visits.
  • Manage participant reimbursements and maintain accurate tracking of study-related budget utilisation.
  • Support physicians in completing required study documentation and management checklists.
  • Coordinate recruitment and follow-up processes across participating healthcare and research institutions.
  • Assist the Principal Investigator with maintenance of study site files, study meetings and regulatory documentation.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, adverse-event reporting and continuous review of research and patient-care processes.

Who Should Apply

  • Candidates who enjoy a combination of patient interaction, research coordination and healthcare administration.
  • Individuals with experience in clinical research, nursing, patient care, healthcare operations or study coordination who are comfortable following structured research protocols.
  • Organised and detail-oriented candidates who can independently manage participant follow-ups while coordinating with multiple healthcare and research stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy or another relevant healthcare-related discipline.
  • Previous experience in clinical research and/or clinical coordination is compulsory.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical research protocols is preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple participants and study activities concurrently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, particularly when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong documentation skills with good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation or clinical systems.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
