The posting

Sales Executive / Business Development Executive

Coffee Beans | Coffee Machines | B2B Sales

Job Description

Cowpresso Coffee Roasters is looking for a proactive, driven and outgoing Sales Executive who takes pride in their work, responsibility and ownership of results.

This is a hands-on business development role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable actively going out to find new customers rather than waiting for enquiries to come in.

You will be responsible for prospecting, cold calling, cold outreach, visiting cafés and businesses, attending exhibitions, following up on leads and converting prospects into long-term customers.

The ideal candidate is confident speaking to new people, persistent with follow-ups and motivated by achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Business Development & Prospecting

  • Actively identify and acquire new B2B customers for Cowpresso's coffee beans, coffee machines and related products.
  • Conduct cold calls, cold emails, WhatsApp outreach and other forms of direct prospecting to generate new leads.
  • Conduct physical sales visits and walk-ins to cafés, restaurants, offices, hotels and other potential customers.
  • Research and build lists of potential customers and decision-makers.
  • Approach prospective customers at exhibitions, trade shows, events and external venues.
  • Generate your own leads in addition to following up on leads provided by the company.
  • Arrange meetings, product demonstrations, coffee tastings and sales presentations with prospective customers.
  • Consistently follow up with prospects until a clear sales outcome is reached.

2. Sales & Account Conversion

  • Understand each customer's requirements and recommend suitable coffee beans, machines, equipment or solutions.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals and conduct sales presentations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines and work towards closing deals.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products to existing customers.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

3. Field Sales

This is not purely a desk-based sales position.

The Sales Executive is expected to regularly be in the market meeting potential customers, including:

  • Walking into cafés, restaurants and other F&B businesses to introduce Cowpresso.
  • Visiting offices and commercial businesses to introduce coffee machine and coffee supply solutions.
  • Attending exhibitions, trade shows and networking opportunities.
  • Conducting scheduled customer meetings, tastings and demonstrations.
  • Following up personally with high-potential prospects.

4. Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with new and existing accounts.
  • Understand customer feedback and communicate useful market information to management.
  • Work closely with the operations, coffee and technical teams to ensure customers receive appropriate support.
  • Follow up on customer enquiries, quotations, samples and outstanding opportunities promptly.

5. Sales Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain an organised and updated sales pipeline.
  • Record leads, meetings, follow-ups, quotations and sales progress accurately.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to management.
  • Monitor prospect feedback, competitor activities and market opportunities.
  • Handle sales-related administrative duties where required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, F&B, coffee, equipment sales or field sales is advantageous.
  • Fresh graduates with a strong sales personality and willingness to learn may also apply.
  • Confident communicating with new people both over the phone and face-to-face.
  • Comfortable with cold calling, cold outreach and walking into businesses to prospect for new customers.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently without requiring constant supervision.
  • Persistent and disciplined in following up with potential customers.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple leads and opportunities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable travelling around Singapore for customer visits and sales prospecting.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a passionate coffee sales person.

You should enjoy meeting people, finding opportunities and turning a cold prospect into a customer. You should be comfortable picking up the phone, introducing yourself to a new business, walking into a café to speak with the owner or manager, and following up consistently.

You should have a strong sense of ownership over your sales pipeline and be motivated by achieving measurable results.

If you are energetic, resourceful, confident and hungry to build a career in sales and business development, we welcome you to join the Cowpresso Coffee Roasters team.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
