The posting

As Commercial Support Assistant Manager, you will be a key member of the commercial team of ESL. You have a unique opportunity to drive real business impact and develop comprehensive transportation solutions for our clients

The Commercial function is responsible for promoting the portfolio of ocean and multimodal solutions offered by ESL to the Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCO’s) and Freight Forwarders (FF’s). Sales operations is an integral part of the commercial function, ensuring growth in customer portfolio and share of wallet, creating value propositions, improving sales process and performance management tools and digitize the customer journey.

Responsibilities 1. Commercial Analytics & Performance Tracking

· Support the implementation and maintenance of performance management tools to track sales performance across key performance indicators (KPIs)

· Analyze sales data and generate insights to support decision-making and identify growth opportunities

· Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for commercial reviews

· Assist commercial teams in establishing sales targets, budgets, and forecasts across different trades and products

· Support data validation and accuracy checks for planning cycles

· Analyze the customer experience process to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and turnaround time

· Support initiatives to streamline internal workflows and improve coordination across teams

2. Key Account Management

· Sales Support

· Tender and Contract Management

· Support go-to-market strategies, account planning, and client segmentation analysis

· Contribute to building and maintaining a repository of value propositions and commercial materials

3. Process Improvement & CRM Support

· Act as a support contact for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), including data management and process coordination

· Help maintain and improve CRM data quality and reporting capabilities

Requirement · 4 – 5 years’ experience, preferably in sales and/or account management with a carrier or a logistics company.

· Proven work experience in a similar role or database management skills would be a distinct advantage.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, networking and stakeholder management skills.

· Team-oriented, motivated by proactive collaboration across teams, functions and geographies.

· An analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to identify problems and conceptualize solutions.

· Drive for results, willing to take ownership and follow through on deliverables.
