Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Compliance & Operations Manager to oversee daily compliance, banking, and operational activities for a Singapore-based family office and its investment entities, supporting governance frameworks and future asset management platform development.

Responsibilities

Compliance & AML

  • Manage and update KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) documentation and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Review and maintain Source of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF) documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct and coordinate due diligence on customers, counterparties, and transactions to mitigate risks
  • Maintain comprehensive compliance records, registers, and internal documentation for audit readiness
  • Identify and manage compliance and regulatory risks in collaboration with management
  • Monitor and interpret relevant regulatory developments in Singapore, including MAS requirements applicable to family offices and investment management
  • Coordinate with external compliance consultants and legal advisers to address regulatory matters

Banking & Operations

  • Serve as the primary contact for banks and financial institutions to facilitate smooth banking operations
  • Manage bank KYC reviews, respond to information requests, and handle account documentation efficiently
  • Coordinate operational matters related to banking and investments to support transaction processing
  • Maintain accurate records of investment transactions and supporting documents for transparency
  • Liaise with custodians, external asset managers, and financial institutions to ensure operational alignment
  • Support cash management, transaction documentation, and operational controls to safeguard assets

Family Office & Investment Operations

  • Support administration and compliance requirements of the family office and its investment entities to ensure operational integrity
  • Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisers, and corporate secretaries to facilitate reporting and compliance
  • Maintain an organized compliance and operational calendar to track key deadlines and activities
  • Assist with periodic reporting, internal reviews, and documentation to support governance
  • Collaborate with management to improve internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks

Future Asset Management Platform

  • Assist in developing compliance policies and internal controls for the future asset management platform to ensure scalability
  • Support establishment of AML/KYC, risk management, governance, and operational frameworks aligned with regulatory standards
  • Work with external regulatory advisers and management to prepare for potential MAS fund management licence application
  • Contribute to building a professional and scalable compliance infrastructure as the investment platform expands

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, Banking, or related discipline
  • 5–8 years of relevant compliance, AML/KYC, or regulatory experience in Singapore
  • Experience in fund management, asset management, family office, private banking, wealth management, or CMS-licensed financial institutions
  • Strong understanding of Singapore AML/KYC requirements and financial regulatory environment
  • Practical experience engaging with banks, financial institutions, and professional service providers
  • Experience with MAS-regulated fund management businesses is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with family office structures, investment entities, Section 13O / 13U structures, or private investment structures is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks hands-on in a lean organizational setting
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and professional judgment
  • Proficient written and spoken English
  • Mandarin language skills are advantageous for communication with shareholders and business partners
