Job Description & Requirements
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, drilling, and other machining operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Develop CNC programs using G-code and CAM software.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, work-holding methods, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies.
- Set up and prove out CNC programs, including tool offsets and work coordinates.
- Conduct program simulations and identify potential machining or collision issues before production.
- Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining problems and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity, tool life, quality, and material utilization.
- Work closely with machinists, engineers, quality personnel, and production teams.
- Ensure finished components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Maintain and update CNC programs, tooling records, setup sheets, and related documentation.
- Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement activities and reduce machining time, scrap, and production costs. RequirementsProven experience as a CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist, or similar manufacturing role. Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and G-code/M-code programming. Experience with CNC milling and/or turning machines. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360, or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, work-holding, and tooling selection. Good understanding of precision measurement and inspection equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Willingness to work shifts and to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines,with flexbility to work extended hours when required.
