The posting

The Concierge is responsible for providing personalised, knowledgeable and attentive assistance to guests throughout their stay at 21 Carpenter. The role focuses on creating memorable guest experiences through strong local knowledge, thoughtful recommendations and efficient coordination of dining, attractions, transportation and other guest requests.

The Concierge is expected to have excellent knowledge of Singapore, including key attractions, restaurants, cultural destinations, shopping areas, entertainment venues and local experiences.

As part of the hotel's lean operational structure, the Concierge may also provide ad-hoc backup driving support for the Hotel Owner when required. This remains a secondary responsibility to the core concierge function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, personalised, and intuitive service, creating memorable experiences for every guest.
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a seamless and engaging journey throughout their stay.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and provide thoughtful recommendations on dining, cultural attractions, entertainment, shopping, and bespoke local experiences.
  • Arrange restaurant reservations, transportation, airport transfers, tours, and other guest requests promptly and accurately.
  • Assist with luggage handling, storage, and room deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of care.
  • Escort guests to their rooms and introduce the hotel's facilities, amenities, and services where appropriate.
  • Build genuine rapport with guests and maintain detailed knowledge of guest preferences to deliver personalised service.
  • Collaborate closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly or escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Singapore's lifestyle, dining, arts, heritage, and entertainment offerings to curate meaningful recommendations.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and delivery of guest parcels, mail, and special amenities.
  • Promote hotel facilities, experiences, and curated offerings to enhance guest satisfaction and engagement.
  • Ensure the lobby, entrance, and concierge areas are consistently welcoming, organised, and reflective of the hotel's brand standards.
  • Adhere to hotel policies, service standards, and health and safety procedures.
  • Support departmental operations and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Concierge, Front Office, Guest Relations, or luxury hospitality is preferred.
  • Passion for delivering personalised and anticipatory guest service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm and engaging personality.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore's dining scene, cultural attractions, lifestyle offerings, and transportation network.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-groomed with a professional appearance and a positive attitude.
