Work Location: 32 Jurong Port Road, Singapore 619104 Monthly Salary: S$3000-3500/Month

About the Role

You will join the Paintings Section, working closely with its members and report to the Conservator.

Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 8:15am to 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out condition assessments, documentation (including photography) and minor treatments on artworks and artefacts, following HCC procedures
  • Carry out treatment preparation and preventive conservation work for storage or exhibition, including: mounting re-housing stretcher assembly canvas flattening
  • Provide administrative support, such as printing, scanning, uploading conservation documents and filing hard copies as requested
  • Any other ad-hoc duties and projects assigned

Job Requirements

  • At least a recognised Diploma. A background in art, or prior conservation-related training or internship experience, is an advantage
  • Able to handle fragile materials with a high degree of manual dexterity and sensitivity
  • Able to multi-task, organise and prioritise work within a given timeline
