Role Purpose
To assist the Project Manager (PM) and Assistant Project Manager (APM) in technical coordination, engineering problem-solving, progress scheduling, subcontractor procurement, and site technical execution to ensure the project meets time, cost, quality, and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Coordination & Engineering
- Review, understand, and translate technical specifications, contractual documents, facade shop drawings, and structural calculations into executable site works.
- Coordinate closely with the internal Design/Technical Department to clarify Site Technical Queries (RFIs) and resolve design or site installation discrepancies.
- Coordinate mock-up fabrications, testing procedures (e.g., water tightness, air infiltration), and material sample submissions for consultant approvals.
2. Time & Progress Planning
- Assist the PM/APM in developing, updating, and monitoring the master construction program, micro-schedules, and daily/weekly work targets.
- Track installation progress against target baselines, highlight potential delays, and propose technical workarounds or recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with the Main Contractor’s and other trade sub-contractors' engineering teams for site interfaces and access availability.
3. Procurement & Cost Support
- Assist the PM/APM in evaluating subcontractor quotations, material take-offs, and quantity verifications.
- Support the Quantity Surveyor (QS) in verifying completed works for monthly progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and material submittals.
- Monitor site material delivery schedules and track material consumption to avoid shortages or cost overruns.
4. Quality Control & Site Coordination
- Work with the QA/QC team to coordinate inspection schedules with consultants and main contractors (aiming for high CONQUAS / Quality Mark scores).
- Investigate on-site technical or installation issues and propose engineering solutions to the PM/APM.
- Prepare method statements, inspection and test plans (ITP), and material submittal packages.
5. Safety & Site Support
- Support the PM/APM in formulating Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) for complex installation procedures.
- Attend site progress meetings, technical coordination meetings, and prepare meeting minutes or action logs.
Job Requirements

- Experience: 2–4 years of experience as a Site/Project Engineer in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on facade engineering, curtain walls, or structural glazing.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and reading architectural, structural, and facade construction drawings. Familiarity with local building codes, QA/QC standards (CONQUAS / Quality Mark), and facade testing requirements. Basic proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office suite.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, proactive problem-solving, good written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
