Join a regulated manufacturing environment as a Contract Lab Technician, supporting routine microbiological testing and laboratory activities. This role is suitable for candidates with hands-on microbiology experience, particularly within a manufacturing or regulated laboratory setting.

Job Description

  • Perform routine microbiological testing according to established procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct testing such as sterility, bioburden, aseptic filtration and environmental monitoring.
  • Perform environmental sample collection and microbiological testing.
  • Support testing of in-process solutions and other microbiological samples.
  • Carry out routine laboratory data entry and documentation accurately.
  • Follow established work instructions, SOPs and laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and traceable records in accordance with documentation requirements.
  • Complete relevant entries in device history records and other laboratory documentation.
  • Ensure laboratory activities are performed in compliance with applicable quality and safety requirements.
  • Assist with testing validation and revalidation activities for critical systems and equipment.
  • Support laboratory activities and investigations under appropriate supervision.
  • Maintain good laboratory practices and ensure testing activities are completed within required timelines.

Who Should Apply

  • Candidates with hands-on microbiology laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Individuals familiar with microbiological testing such as sterility, bioburden or environmental monitoring.
  • Detail-oriented candidates who are comfortable working with SOPs, documentation and routine laboratory testing.

Requirements

  • NITEC, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Applied Science or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of relevant microbiology laboratory experience.
  • Manufacturing laboratory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with routine microbiological testing will be advantageous.
  • Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Able to follow SOPs and established laboratory procedures closely.
