The posting

My client is seeking an entrepreneurial, commercially driven Country Manager to establish and run the Singapore market. They are a growing international company that designs and manufactures acoustic office phone booths and pods, built for modern workplaces that need private, focused space inside open-plan offices.

The Role

You will be the company's primary presence on the ground, responsible for opening doors, building relationships, and converting them into revenue.

This is a hands-on, practical role. Since you will be building the market without a local team around you, you should be comfortable handling operational tasks alongside sales, not just the commercial side of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building the company's presence in the Singapore market
  • Developing and managing relationships with architecture and design firms, corporate real estate/workplace teams, and office fit-out contractors as key referral and specification channels
  • Building and managing distributor and dealer partnerships across the local market
  • Driving direct sales to corporate end-users, including through specifiers and lead generation
  • Representing the company at client meetings, presentations, and relationship-building events (e.g. lunch-and-learns with design firms) to secure specification and repeat business
  • Managing local product compliance and building certifications where required for specific projects
  • Handling hands-on operational tasks alongside sales as needed, such as personally overseeing a test-drive installation at a client's site
  • Managing your own pipeline and reporting progress to leadership, working closely with the remote support team on marketing and lead generation activity

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales, business development, or channel management experience
  • An existing network among architecture/design firms, dealers, and distributors is a strong advantage
  • An existing network with corporate end-users/clients is also highly desirable
  • A genuinely entrepreneurial, self-starting mindset, comfortable owning the sales process end-to-end
  • Confidence operating with a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity, particularly in the early stages of building the market
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with design-led, detail-oriented stakeholders
