Job Description

  1. Act as a primary point of contact for customer quality-related concerns and collaborate with customers to understand their quality expectations and specifications.
  2. Manage customer complaints, lead customer complaint investigations using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa and data-based analysis. Timely respond with 3D & 8D replies using systematic root cause analysis to investigate with cross-functional teams. Verify the effectiveness of established corrective / preventive actions and ensure the closure of 8D reports in a timely manner.
  3. Manage and lead the overall customer complaints KPI and activities together with Quality Engineers, Process Engineers and respective concerns personnel from operations.
  4. Analyse dimensional, visual, plating, material, process and reliability data using appropriate statistical methods. Review trends, defect rates, capability and measurement results to support technically sound conclusions.
  5. Work closely with cross-functional teams to address and resolve customer feedback issues promptly and ensure the corrective action taken effectiveness to prevent occurrence case.
  6. Participate in QMS, customer audits, IATF 16949 and ISO audits, 3rd party certification bodies audits, layered process audits and internal audits
  7. Maintain complete complaint, deviation, concession and corrective-action records in the applicable system and follow up corrective actions to ensure there is a proper closure of non-conformities.
  8. Lead, implement and monitor the effectiveness of 14Q Quality Principles throughout all functions in plant. Trains, coaches and motivates personnel in the understanding and adoption of new principles and techniques.
  9. Lead, initiate and organize continuous Improvement activities with the goal of improving efficiency, reducing costs, product quality improvements or service quality using tool such as SPC, Process Capability, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone, etc.
  10. Implement best practices and quality standards throughout the product development lifecycle.
  11. Work with SQE and Purchasing on failures related to raw material, plating, passivation, tumbling, degreasing, moulding and other outsourced processes. Verify supplier containment and corrective-action effectiveness.
  12. Use customer feedback, COPQ, scrap, sorting and repeat-defect data to identify improvement priorities. Promote lessons learned and horizontal deployment across similar parts, tools and processes.
  13. Other duties assigned by the superior and management.

Requirements

  1. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality management or a related field
  2. Knowledge in Quality Management Systems
  3. Internal Auditor for ISO9001, IATF 16949 &ISO 13485
  4. 8D investigations
  5. Min 3 years in precision metal stamping industry
  6. Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably in a customer-facing role. Automotive IATF 16949/ VDA 6.3 or high-volume precision manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  7. Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Core Tools, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC and MSA.

  9. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, special characteristics, material certificates and inspection or laboratory reports.
