Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze and triage security alerts, events and requests received from the managed SOC, security monitoring tools and users.
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, supporting containment, remediation and recovery activities to minimize business impact.
- Work closely with the Incident Manager, SOC, Cybersecurity and IT teams to coordinate incident investigation, escalation and resolution.
- Develop and enhance SOC detection and incident response playbooks, including escalation procedures, communication workflows, evidence collection and incident documentation.
- Analyse and correlate security data across SIEM and other security platforms to identify anomalous activities, investigate trends and determine potential root causes.
- Leverage data analytics, visualization, automation and AI/ML capabilities to improve security monitoring, threat detection, investigation and incident triage.
- Apply ethical hacking and vulnerability assessment techniques to identify potential security threats and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
- Perform digital forensics and security event analysis, following established evidence-handling and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Apply reverse-engineering and malware analysis techniques, where required, to understand suspicious software behavior and support security investigations.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity dashboards, reports, metrics and management information to provide visibility into security events, incidents and operational performance.
- Monitor emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques and threat intelligence, translating relevant findings into improvements to detection and incident response capabilities.
- Participate in cybersecurity exercises, cyber-range simulations, incident response drills and business continuity exercises.
- Support cybersecurity projects, technology implementations and other initiatives assigned by the Security Operations Manager.
- Coordinate the renewal, maintenance and operational support of cybersecurity tools, including license tracking, vendor coordination, support agreements and deliverables.
