The posting

Our client is a Singapore government organisation looking for a Data Engineer to join their Platform team. The role focuses on transforming cyber asset data into reliable datasets, dashboards and insights to support asset visibility, vulnerability management and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain data models integrating data from multiple sources such as CMDBs, vulnerability scanners and agency systems.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to clean, transform, enrich and validate data.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations for asset visibility, vulnerability prioritisation and remediation tracking.
  • Monitor data quality, pipeline health and data freshness, and resolve data issues.
  • Optimise queries and data refresh processes to ensure reliable and responsive dashboards.
  • Work with Business Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to support agency requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Document data models, transformation logic and dashboard specifications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or business intelligence.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data transformation tools such as dbt, Apache Spark or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with BI and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Grafana or Superset.
  • Experience in data modelling and working with data from multiple sources.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, validation and data pipeline practices.
  • Experience with Python and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster or Prefect is advantageous.
  • Experience with cyber asset data, CMDBs or vulnerability scanners is a plus.
