Job Title

Dental Nurse

Job Summary

We are looking for a caring, organized, and dedicated Dental Nurse/Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The successful candidate will assist dentists during clinical procedures, ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, maintain high standards of infection control, and support the smooth operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before each appointment.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Provide chairside assistance during various dental treatments.
  • Ensure patient comfort and offer reassurance throughout treatment.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (where qualified and permitted).
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
  • Monitor and replenish clinical supplies and inventory.
  • Ensure the clinic is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Support the clinical team with administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a dental clinic is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer literacy.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with dental practice management software.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
