Experience: 6-9 Years Role: Development Manager
Key Skills: IT Development
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a development manager who has built and run IT systems before — someone who can hold delivery commitments to the stakeholders on one hand and engineering health of a large Java estate in the other.
Candidate will join our eTrading application team. This is a role focused on building and enhancing eTrading modules for our in-house FX Ecommerce platform. Our eTrading platform prices and executes electronic flow across FX spot, forwards, swaps and NDFs, other structured products like FX options and Dual currency deposits, government and corporate bonds and interest rate swaps.
You will work closely with developers and business stakeholders to deliver high-performance, user-friendly changes that support the global markets technology function in the bank.
Delivery
· Own end‑to‑end delivery schedule across multiple streams of work - sprint execution in Jira and a release calendar to plan delivery.
· Run the delivery forum/channel and escalate slippage early with a recovery plan.
Engineering practice & tooling
· Keep the estate current — JDK upgrades, framework versions, vulnerability remediation and decommissioning of legacy components on a published roadmap.
· Own the CI/CD pipeline in Jenkins: build, automated test, static analysis and security scanning gates, artefact promotion, and repeatable deployment to every environment.
· Keep Confluence the single source of truth for designs, runbooks, onboarding and decision records — documentation is part of done, not an afterthought.
· Maintain the SDM toolchain—pre-project, analysis, change, incident, problem and release records reconcile with what the pipeline shipped.
Requirements:
· Experience operating within formal SDLC, change and release governance using SDM tooling, and stand behind it in audit.
· Hands‑on delivery experience in capital markets — eTrading, execution, pricing, market data, OMS/EMS or post‑trade — within a bank, exchange, broker or trading firm.
· Working knowledge of the trade lifecycle to clients and venues.
· Proven ownership of delivery cadence run in Jira, with documentation and decision records in Confluence and Microsoft office tools.
· Experience operating within formal SDLC, change and release governance using SDM tooling, and stand behind it in audit.
· A track record of running production‑critical systems: incident command, root cause analysis, and preventing the repeat.
