The Company Director will have overall responsibility for HR, people management, regulatory compliance, and corporate administration, with primary responsibility for the company’s operations in Singapore and Malaysia. The role will also provide support and oversight for HR and compliance matters across other countries as required.
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for HR, employee relations, compliance, and people operations, with primary responsibility for Singapore and Malaysia.
- Act as the Key Appointment Holder (KAH) and oversee compliance with MOM and MDEC, Employment Agency regulations, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate MDEC-related activities, including expatriate employment pass applications, quota requirements, supporting documentation, and regulatory compliance in Malaysia.
- Oversee HR compliance, statutory matters, work pass requirements, employee documentation, and RBI audits.
- Provide senior-level guidance on HR policies, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation, and regulatory matters.
- Work closely with senior management, auditors, government authorities, clients, and other key stakeholders.
- Be available for business calls and meetings across India and US time zones, including outside normal working hours when required.
- Willingness to travel internationally at short notice based on business requirements.
- Take ownership of ad-hoc HR, compliance, and operational responsibilities for other countries when required, in addition to the primary responsibility for Singapore and Malaysia.
Requirements
- Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience in HR, HR operations, compliance, employment agency management, or corporate management.
- Postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- CEI (KAH) certification is mandatory.
- Strong and demonstrated knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia employment regulations, MOM requirements, work pass processes, and HR compliance.
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in managing RBI audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Prior experience in a senior HR leadership, Country HR, HR Director, Company Director, or equivalent role.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to independently manage sensitive and complex HR and regulatory matters.
- Flexible to work across different time zones and undertake short-notice international travel.
