The posting
Role purpose
Thredd is building the payments infrastructure that will carry the next generation of card issuing — including transactions initiated by autonomous agents rather than people. This is a senior individual contributor role with two connected halves.
First, it is the face of Product in the Asia-Pacific region. The role holder is the product representative our in-market colleagues bring into client and partner conversations — across the entire Thredd product stack. This person needs to understand all Thredd products services and serve as regional SME.
Second, the person in this role needs to have a deep payments background and understands the local nuances of the APAC region. This role will own the collection of the region’s market intelligence and will provide an APAC-centric view of the market trends to help inform Thredd’s global Product roadmap.
The role is based in Singapore on a hybrid basis and works closely with product, engineering and commercial colleagues in London and across the globe.
Scope
Accountability - What this means in practice
APAC product representation
The product voice in region. Supports in-market colleagues in client and partner conversations across the full Thredd product stack.
Market insights and trends
Owns the evaluation of market, competitor and regulatory trends, and the translation of those into roadmap input.
APAC Product Roadmap Owner
This person will define and own critical APAC regional Product Roadmap updates and drive delivery cross-platform domain
Key responsibilities
Product representation across APAC
• Act as the product representative for the APAC region, supporting Thredd colleagues in-market in client, prospect and partner conversations.
• Provide product expertise across the full Thredd stack — core processing, credit, money movement,value-added services and client experience.
• Support commercial opportunities in region: solution shaping, product discovery sessions, RFP and due diligence responses, and technical product Q&A.
• Serve as the escalation and clarification route into the global product organisation for regional teams, and make sure regional commitments are visible to the product leads who own the underlying capabilities.
• Build strong working relationships with the product leads across Shared Services and Product Innovation so that regional input reaches the right owner quickly.
Market insights and trend evaluation
• Own market insight for the region: maintain a current, evidenced view of competitor activity, client demand patterns, scheme and regulatory change, and emerging payment behaviours.
• Evaluate key market trends and assess their implications for Thredd’s roadmap, distinguishing durable shifts from noise and stating a clear point of view on each.
• Establish a repeatable cadence of market reporting into the product leadership team and, where relevant, into executive forums.
• Use market insight to originate roadmap proposals, not only to inform existing ones.
APAC Product Roadmap Owner
· Based on local market knowledge and ongoing customer interactions, identify, define/scope product enhancements and drive execution of market-critical platform updates.
· Pragmatic priortisationcross-platform domain and own tradeoffs
· When possible, create workable prototypes to assist with rapid POC development of new features.
· Own pricing and GTM strategy to accelerate the commercialization of new features and services in the APAC market.
· Train commercial teams with positioning and differentiation statements and GTM content.
Ways of working
• Operate across time zones with product, engineering and commercial colleagues in London and elsewhere in the group, maintaining reliable overlap with UK hours.
• Travel within the APAC region, and periodically to the UK, as client and delivery commitments require.
• Work to Thredd’s product standards and governance, including regulatory, security and risk obligations relevant to a regulated payments environment.
Experience and capability
Essential
• Substantial experience in payments, card issuing, processing or adjacent financial infrastructure, with credible depth in how these products work technically and commercially.
• Demonstrated ability to own a product area end to end — defining requirements, working with engineering through delivery, and being accountable for the outcome.
• Confident and credible in front of clients and partners, including at senior level, with the judgement to know what can be committed to in the room and what cannot.
• Strong analytical judgement: able to form and defend a view on an ambiguous market with incomplete information.
• Able to operate independently in region while staying closely aligned with a global product organisation.
Desirable
• Exposure to AI or agentic technologies, particularly where they intersect with payments, authentication or transaction authorisation.
• Experience of the APAC payments landscape, including regional scheme, regulatory and licensing considerations.
• Background spanning engineering and product, or experience translating between the two.
• Experience representing a product organisation in a market where the company has limited local presence.
