The posting
The Services required are set out as follows:
1. Fact-finding and Investigation
• Assist the school's discipline team in conducting thorough fact-finding and investigations of student misconduct and bullying cases, in accordance with school guidelines and processes.
• Document case findings accurately and maintain proper records for the school's reference.
2. Student Engagement and Pastoral Care
• Engage students involved in disciplinary cases, including offenders and victims, to provide pastoral support and guidance.
• Build positive relationships with students, particularly those who are at-risk, to identify early warning signs of behavioural issues and surface these to the relevant school personnel.
• Support the implementation of safety plans for affected students, including monitoring student well-being following disciplinary incidents.
3. Supervision and School Safety
• Provide an additional adult presence at identified school locations and during periods where student-management support is required, such as before school, recess, dismissal and transitions between lessons.
• Conduct regular patrols of identified areas to support positive student behaviour and adherence to school expectations.
• Respond promptly to requests for assistance involving student misconduct, conflict or other student-management concerns.
• Support the de-escalation of student conflicts and facilitate the safe referral of students to appropriate school personnel.
• Assist in monitoring students serving school-based disciplinary consequences or interventions, where required.
• Surface environmental or situational factors that may contribute to recurring disciplinary issues and recommend possible preventive measures to the Discipline Team.
