SMTP Consult Pte Ltd is a family office concierge firm supporting clients and their families as they relocate to Singapore. We provide bespoke services tailored to each family’s specific requirements, ensuring a seamless transition as they settle into life in Singapore. Among our core offerings is university admissions advisory for students applying to universities in Singapore, the US and the UK.

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Education Consultant to join our team, with a primary focus on university admissions. The successful candidate will work closely with students and their families to deliver tailored, end-to-end guidance, from university and course selection through to the submission of applications and receipt of offers.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth consultations with students and parents to understand each student’s academic profile, interests, extracurricular achievements and university aspirations.
  • Recommend suitable universities and courses in Singapore, the US and the UK, providing informed guidance on entry requirements, course structures and prospective career pathways.
  • Develop personalised admissions strategies and timelines for each student, with clear milestones from initial planning through to final offers.
  • Guide students through the full application process (UCAS, Common App and NUS/NTU/SMU), including personal statements and essays, admissions tests and interview preparation.
  • Provide regular progress updates to parents and families, upholding the high standard of client service expected by a family office clientele.
  • Stay abreast of developments in admissions policies, trends and requirements across Singapore, the US and the UK.
  • Assess and strengthen each student’s profile through targeted academic, extracurricular and leadership development plans, while liaising with schools and teachers to monitor progress and coordinate recommendation letters.
  • Track application progress, manage deadlines and maintain accurate and confidential student records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a degree from a reputable university is preferred.
  • Proven experience in university admissions counselling, with a sound working knowledge of UCAS, Common App and local university application processes, and a demonstrable track record of successfully placing students at leading universities (e.g. Oxbridge, the Ivy League and NUS/NTU/SMU).
  • Proficiency in both Mandarin and English, written and spoken, to serve our clients from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to gage confidently and tactfully with students, parents, schools and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple students and deadlines concurrently.
  • A client-focused, discreet and professional manner, with a genuine commitment to delivering a personalised, high-quality service.
  • Experience in international school admissions is advantageous.
