Job Description & Requirements:

Due to business expansion, we are now seeking experienced and responsible Electrical Engineers to join our team and grow with the company.

Occupation: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (Full Time)

Working Days: 5.5 days per week

Annual Leaves: 14 days

Monthly Salary Range: (SGD) 6,000 or above

Work Location: TUAS (company-provided shuttle bus service available) /

Multiple work locations across Singapore, depending on project location.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate/oversees the Electrical Engineering Design coordination between Mechanical, Architectural, Civil and Structural disciplines.
  • Design review, optimization and provide technical evaluation for electrical services.
  • M & E combine services drawing coordination and development of approved working drawing for site construction.
  • Resolve design anomalies between different disciplines based on Construction drawings. Monitor and review all shop drawings submitted and raise Request for Information (RFI) to consultant/designers for resolving anomalies.
  • Ensure Electrical scope of works are in compliance with required specification, quality and safety standards.
  • Organize testing, commissioning and authority inspection activities.
  • Working together with local authorities, sub-contractor, builder, consultant & designers on design solution and close the concluded information for the consultant to issue site instruction.
  • To participate in Electrical scope of work under tender submission package to ensure tender price submitted are accurate and to comply with client specification and authorities requirement. This is to ensure tender price submitted are not excessive or overprovided or underprovided that affect overall tender competitiveness. In other word, to ensure electrical scope of work price submitted do comply with tender requirements.
  • To participate actively in evaluating the content and accuracy of the VO submitted by M & E subcontractors and to advise project QS on inaccuracy and invalidity claims.
  • To lead and guide M & E subordinate to perform and document work in accordance to the SHJL ISO 9001 standardised requirements.
  • To lead and manage the Electrical design scope from project inception to project completion inclusive of advisory on authorities submission and approval.
  • To be able to carry out value engineering on electrical engineering scope of work and to counter propose value added proposal for tender submission and indirectly cost saving to the client and enhance SHJL better position to secure the project.
  • To be the leader to ensure there is commitment among M & E subordinate and subcontractor to work together aiming at timely completion, Good quality, safety compliance and cost efficiency.
  • To be able to prepare Corrective and preventive action for Electrical engineering scope of work.
  • To prepare, compile document, as built drawing, test report for project handing over.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, with preference given to candidates with experience in the Singapore construction industry
  • Familiar with local project quotation, contract management, and progress payment processes
  • Diligent and responsible, with excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Able to independently handle relevant business and on-site measurement work.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese
