The posting

Senior Electrical Supervisor

Position Overview

The Senior Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing electrical service operations, supervising electricians, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and making sure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.

This is a senior hands-on position. The successful candidate should be an experienced electrician who is capable of handling more complicated electrical works independently while also providing technical guidance, training, and supervision to other electricians.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Works & Troubleshooting & Installing Door Access System

  • Perform and supervise residential and commercial electrical works.
  • Diagnose electrical faults accurately and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Handle more complex electrical troubleshooting and rectification works.
  • Carry out installation, replacement, repair and maintenance of electrical components and systems.
  • Ensure electrical works are completed safely and according to applicable requirements and good industry practices.
  • Provide technical support to electricians when they encounter difficult or unusual problems.

2. Team Supervision

  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to electricians.
  • Assign or coordinate work based on technicians' skills and job complexity.
  • Check the quality of work completed by electricians.
  • Ensure technicians follow the company's SOPs and safety procedures.
  • Identify mistakes, workmanship issues and areas for improvement.
  • Help the team solve problems instead of simply escalating every technical issue to management.

3. Training & Development

  • Train junior and newly hired electricians.
  • Conduct practical on-the-job training.
  • Teach technicians proper troubleshooting methods instead of relying on trial and error.
  • Improve the team's overall technical knowledge, workmanship and productivity.
  • Assess whether technicians are competent to perform different categories of electrical work independently.

4. Quality Control

  • Ensure all electrical jobs meet the company's workmanship standards.
  • Conduct inspections or checks when required.
  • Reduce callbacks, complaints and repeat visits caused by incorrect diagnosis or poor workmanship.
  • Investigate technical complaints and determine the root cause.
  • Recommend improvements to electrical work procedures and SOPs.

5. Operations Support

  • Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to resolve complicated electrical cases.
  • Advise the team on job requirements, manpower, materials and estimated work required.
  • Assist with site inspections and preparation of quotations for complicated electrical works when necessary.
  • Identify potential problems before work begins and communicate them clearly to the relevant team.
  • Ensure jobs are completed within a reasonable timeframe without compromising safety or quality.

Requirements

  • Strong practical experience in electrical installation, repair and troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of residential and commercial electrical systems.
  • Able to diagnose electrical problems independently.
  • Able to supervise and guide other electricians.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and workmanship.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to communicate clearly with technicians, operations staff and customers.
  • Willing to take ownership of difficult electrical cases.
  • Safety-conscious and disciplined in following procedures.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.

What We Expect From a Senior Electrical Supervisor

The Senior Electrical Supervisor is not simply the most experienced electrician in the team. He is expected to raise the performance of the entire electrical department.

Success in this position means:

Better diagnosis → Better workmanship → Fewer callbacks → Faster job completion → Better-trained electricians → Higher customer satisfaction

The Senior Electrical Supervisor should gradually build a team that can handle most electrical jobs independently, with fewer technical problems requiring escalation to management.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
