Candidates will be required to teach English to Japanese students from a variety of age ranges and proficiency levels. You will be expected to switch between English and Japanese where necessary, depending on students’ level of understanding. Therefore, a business level of Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) is a mandatory requirement.

Candidates will be subject to a Japanese conversation interview.

The level of English proficiency expected must be at the level of the most difficult English entrance examinations for junior high school, high school in Japan. During the recruitment process, candidates will be assessed on these entrance exams as a written test.

It is also preferable if the candidate has experience teaching English to Japanese students under the Japanese curriculum.

• Basic to advanced IT skills are also required for teaching material preparation and online instruction, including experience using Microsoft Office, Slack, Dropbox Business, Zoom, and similar tools

Parent and Customer Communication:You will need to

• Provide parents with updates regarding students' classroom performance, level of understanding, areas for improvement, and future learning plans.

• Participate in parent-teacher meetings when required.

• Participate in parent information sessions and provide updates on course content and student learning.

There are two main types of work: regular classes and seasonal classes. Regular classes are held during the after-school hours, so classes start after 17:00 in the evening. During the school holidays, classes may be held in the morning. The basic shift is 5.5 days each week, but this changes during the school year.
