About ESR

ESR is a leading Asia-Pacific real asset owner and manager focused on logistics real estate, data centres, and energy infrastructure that power the digital economy and supply chain for investors, customers, and communities. Through our fully integrated real asset fund management and development platform, we strive to create value and growth opportunities for our global portfolio of investors. We offer our customers modern space solutions to realise their ambitions across Australia and New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Greater China, Southeast Asia, and India, including a presence in Europe.

About the Role

The Enterprise Application Architect is responsible for designing and governing ESR Group's cross-platform application architecture, with a primary focus on data integration, systems interoperability, and cross-system design impact analysis. Working within ESR's agreed enterprise architecture direction, this role ensures that technology solutions are well-integrated, technically sound, and aligned to the Group's transformation objectives.

Given ESR's complex real estate and investment management operating environment, the Enterprise Application Architect is expected to possess strong domain expertise in the applications and technology ecosystems commonly used across real estate investment, asset management, property management, development projects, leasing, facilities management, finance, procurement, and corporate functions. The role requires the ability to understand how technology supports end-to-end business processes across these domains and to provide architecture guidance that aligns with industry best practices.

This role provides hands-on technical leadership across application integration, data flows, and platform connectivity — working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technology partners to ensure that systems connect effectively and that design changes are assessed for cross-platform impact.

The Enterprise Application Architect acts as a trusted technical partner to project delivery teams, and business functions, helping maintain coherence and integrity across ESR's evolving technology landscape.

Location

This role will be based in Singapore and will require regional engagement across ESR Group's operating markets as required.

Key Responsibilities

Cross-System Design & Integration Architecture

  • Design and govern data integration patterns, APIs, and middleware approaches across ESR's technology landscape.
  • Lead cross-system design impact analysis for new, evolving, or decommissioned platforms.
  • Define integration standards and data flow patterns that support interoperability between enterprise applications.
  • Produce integration of architecture blueprints, interface specifications, and system dependency models.
  • Ensure data consistency, quality, and traceability across integrated systems and platforms.

Technical Architecture & Platform Alignment

  • Provide technical architecture guidance to project and delivery teams, aligned to ESR's agreed enterprise architecture direction.
  • Review proposed technical designs for cross-platform consistency, integration risk, and architectural coherence.
  • Support the evaluation and selection of platforms and tools where technical architecture input is required.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce integration complexity, technical debt, and system duplication.
  • Maintain reference architectures and technical standards for integration, data flows, and platform connectivity.

Architecture Governance & Standards

  • Support architecture governance processes by reviewing solution designs for integration and cross-system impacts.
  • Ensure technical designs comply with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and integration principles.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve integration risks and design conflicts early.
  • Contribute to technology procurement and vendor evaluation activities where data and integration architecture are relevant.
  • Assess solution fit, interoperability, and long-term sustainability for technology investments.

Data Architecture

  • Define and maintain data architecture standards covering integration patterns, master data, information flows, and interoperability.
  • Support data quality, master data management, reporting, analytics, and AI enablement from an integration and architecture perspective.
  • Ensure data governance and management practices are supported through sound architectural design.
  • Support large transformation programs — including ERP, CRM, data platform, and digital initiatives — with integration and data architecture guidance.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with project managers, application teams, data teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into integration and technical designs.

Communicate architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Support regional and group teams with cross-platform technical guidance and architecture input.

Domain Expertise

Demonstrated ability to understand and map end-to-end business processes across real estate investment, asset management, property operations, development, finance, procurement, HR, legal, and corporate functions.

Deep knowledge of the data entities, workflows, reporting requirements, and integration touchpoints that exist across enterprise applications within the real estate and investment management industry.

Ability to identify industry-specific process inefficiencies, application gaps, and integration opportunities, and recommend architectural improvements that drive business value.

Strong appreciation of regulatory, governance, and reporting requirements applicable to real estate and investment management organizations.

Essential Experience

  • Experience architecting solutions within a real estate, property management, real estate investment, infrastructure, logistics, or similarly asset-intensive enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the major enterprise applications, data domains, and business processes used across the industry, including how these platforms integrate to support investment, operational, financial, and corporate functions.
  • 8+ years' experience in solution architecture, integration architecture, or technical architecture roles.
  • Proven experience designing and governing data integration solutions across enterprise application landscapes (ERP, CRM, data platforms, cloud, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, middleware, ETL/ELT, event-driven architecture, and enterprise data flows.
  • Experience conducting cross-system design impact analysis and producing integration architecture documentation (blueprints, interface specs, dependency maps).
  • Ability to assess technology risks, solution fit, and long-term interoperability across complex platform environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Experience working within or alongside enterprise architecture frameworks and governance processes.

Preferred Experience

Strong preference for candidates with experience in the real estate, property management, real estate investment management, infrastructure, logistics, or REIT sectors.

Deep understanding of enterprise applications commonly used across:

  • Real Estate Investment and Fund Management
  • Asset Management
  • Property Management
  • Leasing and Tenant Management
  • Development and Project Management
  • Facilities Management
  • Finance and Accounting
  • Procurement and Vendor Management
  • Human Resources
  • Legal and Contract Management

Experience working with industry-leading platforms such as Yardi, MRI, SAP, Oracle, OneStream, Anaplan, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, DocuSign, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions, Business Intelligence platforms, and Data & AI platforms would be highly advantageous.

Ability to translate industry-specific business processes into scalable application architectures and integration designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Cloud, integration, or data architecture certifications advantageous (e.g. Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, AWS, Databricks).
  • TOGAF awareness or certification beneficial.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
