The posting

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Equipment Engineer to support the equipment maintenance and continuous improvement functions within REC’s Modules manufacturing plant. The incumbent will play a key role in driving equipment reliability, operational efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing excellence in support of REC’s ambition to be the world’s leading solar modules producer.

RESPONBILITIES: · Take ownership of the performance and reliability of assigned equipment, driving improvements in Quality, Uptime, Throughput, Cost, and OEE through systematic problem solving, design enhancements, and machine optimization.

· Plan, execute & optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance(PDM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities according to planned schedules and standards.

· Perform advanced & systematic equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence of failures.

· Prepare incident reports, troubleshooting guides, and best-known methods (BKM) to support knowledge sharing and technician training.

· Coordinate equipment-related activities with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of maintenance and production operations.

· Analyze spare parts consumption trends, manage inventory optimization, and drive corrective actions for recurring part failures and reliability issues.

· Drive continuous improvement of equipment performance through design modifications, reliability enhancements, and machine optimization. Support projects related to process optimization, cost reduction, system upgrades, Cpk improvement, equipment qualification, and new material evaluation.

· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during all maintenance and engineering activities.
