[Contract Position]

Job Description:

You will play a key role in supporting and advancing SINDA's brand, public profile, and stakeholder engagement efforts. The role involves developing compelling content, executing communication campaigns, managing media relations, producing publications, and coordinating communications projects to strengthen SINDA's outreach and reputation.

The position (Executive or Senior Executive) will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Brand Storytelling & Communications

• Research, write, and edit articles, press releases, speeches, key messages, and other corporate communications materials across digital and print platforms

• Develop compelling stories that showcase SINDA's impact and amplify stakeholder voices

• Contribute to the planning and execution of communications and marketing campaigns

• Support content creation for videos, photo shoots, social media, websites, EDMs, and other outreach materials

• Identify and recommend suitable channels to enhance audience engagement and outreach

2. Media Relations & Strategic Communications

• Develop media pitches and identify newsworthy story angles

• Build and maintain relationships with media representatives and key stakeholders

• Coordinate media interviews, publicity opportunities, and media events

• Support media enquiries and crisis communication efforts when required

• Monitor media coverage, analyse visibility and impact, and provide regular reports and recommendations

3. Publications & Collateral Development

• Manage the production of publications such as annual reports, newsletters, brochures, and other marketing collateral

• Proofread, fact-check, and ensure consistency in messaging and brand standards

• Liaise with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to ensure timely delivery of communication materials

4. Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate communications projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables

• Work closely with internal divisions, external partners, vendors, and media contacts to ensure quality and timely execution

• Support divisional initiatives, special projects, and organisation-wide events

• For Senior Executive position, to provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members where required

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Communications & New Media, Media Studies, or a related field

• Relevant experience in communications, public relations, media relations, content development, or marketing communications. Senior Executive candidates should possess at least 3 years of relevant experience

• Strong understanding of Singapore's media landscape and communications environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Proficiency in Tamil is required as the role regularly involves developing, reviewing and translating Tamil-language communication materials, engaging Tamil-speaking stakeholders and media representatives, and supporting outreach initiatives targeting the Tamil-speaking community

• Familiarity with design and content creation tools (Canva/Adobe Suite) as well as publication production is an advantage

• Good organisational, multitasking, and time-management skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to adapt quickly and work in fast-paced environments

• Participate in Divisional and SINDA-wide events when required

• Flexible to work on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Time-off arrangements for approved additional hours worked will be provided in accordance with organisational policies and applicable employment legislation
