The posting

As the Export& Trademarks Manager, you will be the driving force expanding The 1872Clipper Tea Co.’s international footprint while serving as the global custodian of our intellectual property. In this role, you will combine international business development with legal brand protection—negotiating cross-border distribution agreements, managing global trademark filings, and ensuring full regulatory compliance as our heritage brand scales into new global markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Market Expansion& Channel Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure international distributors, importers, and retail partners across key global markets.
  • Structuring long-term cross-border distribution agreements, pricing frameworks, and export commercial terms.
  • Manage ongoing relationship performance, localized brand positioning, and sales targets across international territories.

2. Trademark &Intellectual Property Governance

  • Oversee and execute global trademark registration, renewals, and class extensions across target expansion markets.
  • Partner with external legal counsel to monitor potential IP infringements and protect brand identity across print, packaging, and digital channels.
  • Maintain the central intellectual property matrix, managing territorial brand rights and licensing compliance.

3. Export Logistics, Compliance & Operations

  • Oversee international regulatory compliance, food safety documentation, customs clearance, and import/export labeling requirements across varied jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and factory production teams to align export orders, lead times, shipping documentation, and global fulfillment schedules.
  • Manage regional trade shows, overseas delegations, and market-entry pilot campaigns to validate new growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in export sales, international business development, or IP/trademark management, ideally within FMCG, luxury goods, or premium food & beverage.
  • Strong familiarity with international trade regulations, customs processes, and cross-border commercial contracts.
  • Solid understanding of intellectual property structures, global trademark filings, and brand protection principles.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills with a track record of driving partner alignment across global regions.
