SUMMARY

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated FICC Trader to join our Financial Markets team in Singapore.

In this role, you will be responsible for trading and managing the risk of selected FICC products for our APAC client franchise, with a particular focus on interest rate swaps, secondary bond trading, and FX products offered to clients across the region.

You will work closely with the APAC Sales team and collaborate with our Trading teams in Stuttgart and London. This role is suited to a commercially minded trader with strong technical expertise, sound risk management capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively across international markets and teams.

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES

· Trade and manage the risk of APAC client flow across interest rate swaps, secondary bonds, and FX products.

· Contribute to the continued development and expansion of the regional product and trading platform.

· Provide competitive pricing, market colour, and execution support to the Sales team.

· Manage trading books, positions, market risk, and profit and loss within approved limits.

· Support secondary market-making in bonds, including pricing, execution, inventory management, and risk recycling.

· Price and execute interest rate swap transactions and implement appropriate hedging strategies.

· Support the offering of FX products to APAC clients, including spot, forwards, and swaps.

· Collaborate closely with Trading colleagues in Stuttgart and London on pricing, hedging, risk transfer, and global market strategy.

· Monitor developments in interest rates, credit, bonds, FX, and macroeconomic conditions across APAC and global markets.

· Partner with Sales to develop trade ideas and support client discussions.

· Ensure the accurate booking, valuation, reporting, and lifecycle management of trades.

· Work with Risk, Product Control, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and IT to maintain a robust trading and control environment.

· Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, new product initiatives, and regional business development.

· Ensure that all trading activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, conduct standards, and approved risk limits.

SKILLS REQUIRED

· A degree in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.

· Relevant professional experience in FICC, rates, bond, credit, or FX trading, or in a comparable financial markets role.

· Strong knowledge of interest rate swaps, secondary bond markets, and FX products.

· Experience supporting APAC client flow and an understanding of regional market dynamics are highly desirable.

· Sound knowledge of pricing, hedging, risk management, market liquidity, and trade lifecycle processes.

· Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to assess market developments quickly and accurately.

· Demonstrated ability to manage risk and make sound decisions under pressure.

· A strong commercial mindset and the ability to partner effectively with Sales.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively across international teams.

· Experience working with global trading hubs or cross-border trading teams would be an advantage.

· Strong awareness of market conduct requirements, regulatory obligations, and operational controls.

· Fluency in English.

· Proficiency in an additional Asian or European language would be an advantage.

· Relevant regulatory licences or qualifications for trading activities in Singapore, where applicable, or the ability to obtain them.
