The posting

Our client is an established company specializing in Semiconductor Equipment. They are expanding and growing at a fast pace and now looking to hire a Field Service Manager to support the growth.

They are located in Town – easily accessible via various modes of transport.

Job Description:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and Team Leaders across Southeast Asia to ensure efficient and high-quality service operations.
  • Manage day-to-day field service activities, including equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, customer acceptance, and after-sales support.
  • Coordinate with customers to understand service requirements, manage expectations, and ensure timely resolution of technical and operational issues.
  • Take ownership of customer escalations and critical technical issues, prioritizing resources to achieve effective and timely resolution.
  • Lead root cause analysis for complex equipment and application issues, working closely with the headquarters engineering and technical teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Plan and monitor equipment installations from site preparation and installation through commissioning and successful customer acceptance.
  • Develop and manage quarterly and annual forecasts for spare parts demand, service revenue, manpower requirements, and operational resources across Southeast Asia.
  • Prepare and review service quotations, follow up on purchase orders, and support revenue generation from service agreements, labor services, spare parts, and other service-related activities.
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, including stock levels, pricing, availability, warranty items, and Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
  • Oversee FSE scheduling, job assignments, service reports, travel arrangements, and overall field service performance.

Job Requirement:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in semiconductor equipment field service, preferably with semiconductor inspection, metrology, or related equipment
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to resolve complex equipment and application issues
