The Opportunity

Our client, a leading financial advisory/insurance firm in Singapore, is looking to grow their advisory team with the addition of a Financial Advisor. This is an opportunity to join an established platform with strong brand backing, structured training, and a full product suite, while building an independent client portfolio with significant earning potential.

About the Role

The successful candidate will help individuals and families build financial security through tailored insurance and wealth protection solutions. They will manage the full client relationship — from needs analysis and financial planning to policy servicing and long-term portfolio review — while growing their own book of business through referrals, networking, and proactive prospecting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses for individual and corporate clients, covering life, health, and general insurance as well as investment-linked products
  • Recommend and structure insurance and wealth solutions aligned to clients' financial goals, risk profiles, and life stages
  • Build and manage a personal client portfolio through networking, referrals, and market prospecting
  • Maintain long-term client relationships through regular portfolio reviews, policy servicing, and claims support
  • Stay current on product offerings, market trends, and regulatory requirements across insurance and financial planning
  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly production and persistency targets
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure full compliance with MAS regulations and internal suitability requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in any discipline; finance, business, or related fields preferred
  • CMFAS Modules 5, 8A, 8B, 9, 9A (or willingness to obtain within [X months] of joining)
  • Prior experience in financial advisory, insurance, banking, or sales is an advantage but not required — structured training provided for the right candidate
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage an independent book of business
  • Singaporean/PR preferred (or specify work pass eligibility)
