Job Summary

As the core owner of the company's finance function, the Financial Controller is responsible for the financial management, profitability assessment, reporting, treasury, tax, and finance-related compliance of our AI Cloud Computing Infrastructure (AIDC) and AI Token Factory businesses. Internally, the role builds and maintains a robust accounting, budgeting, and internal control framework. Externally, it leads tax and audit matters and supports project appraisal and project-financing analysis. The role reports directly to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Financial Evaluation & Treasury Management

• Build fixed-asset and depreciation models for GPU compute assets and data center / colocation investments; calculate ROI and payback periods; and own project cost-benefit analysis and cost allocation.

• Establish an automated reconciliation and billing framework for the Token business, monitor upstream/downstream gross-margin spreads, and help implement financial risk-control and early-warning mechanisms.

• Produce regular management and unit-economics reporting, prepare the annual budget and rolling cash-flow forecasts, and provide analytical support for pricing and capacity-expansion decisions.

2. Cross-Border Funds & Singapore Tax Compliance

• Design and optimize a Singapore-anchored, compliant cross-border cash-flow and offshore structure (e.g. Japan, Hong Kong, US), taking into account overseas collection channels such as Stripe, PayPal, and cryptocurrency.

• Manage Singapore and overseas tax and statutory filings (GST, corporate income tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, etc.), liaise with external tax advisors and IRAS, and lead overall tax planning.

3. Financing & Capital-Markets Support

• Work with business teams to support the CFO in developing financing channels including finance leasing, compute-asset-backed lending, and structured financing; prepare financial models and data-room materials for financial institutions; and support financing due diligence.

• Assist the CFO in advancing corporate fundraising, including financial compliance clean-up, capital-structure adjustments, international structuring and reorganization, and building out the onshore/offshore group structure.

• Coordinate external advisors: lead engagement with IPO auditors, tax advisors, internal-control consultants, and other intermediaries.

4. Core Accounting, Reporting & Daily Operations

• Own day-to-day accounting for Singapore and oversea entities, and lead the timely close and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Manage bank accounts, customer collections, supplier payments, and payroll; prepare rolling cash-flow forecasts; and optimize capital efficiency.

• Handle routine tax and statutory filings (GST, corporate income tax, CPF, IR8A / IR21, etc.) and liaise with the relevant authorities.

• Review and approve expense claims, procurement contracts, and payments; ensure invoicing and processes are compliant; and control day-to-day operating expenditure.

• Establish and maintain a sound internal control system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 5–6 years of accounting or audit experience with cross-border or multi-entity (overseas) operations.

• Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) as well as US GAAP, IFRS, GST, and tax filing; proficiency in accounting software and Excel.

• Holds a CPA / ACCA or CA qualification.

• Experience with cross-border collections/payments (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) and offshore-entity accounting (Japan / Hong Kong / USA) preferred.

• Working proficiency in English and Chinese.

• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and accountable, with the ability to work independently in a fast-growing start-up environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
