Job Summary

The Popiah Skin Production Technician is responsible for producing consistent, high-quality popiah skins in accordance with production targets, food-safety standards, and company specifications. The role includes preparing batter, operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, packing finished products, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and mix batter according to approved recipes and production quantities.
  • Set up, make popiah skin by hand.
  • Inspect finished popiah skins for defects such as tearing, uneven thickness, overcooking, undercooking, or incorrect sizing.
  • Stack, count, weigh, and pack finished products according to customer or company requirements.
  • Record production output, wastage, batch information, and quality-control results accurately.
  • Follow production schedules and achieve daily output and yield targets.
  • Carry out product changeovers and basic machine adjustments when required.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of machines, tools, and production areas.
  • Follow food hygiene, allergen-control, sanitation, workplace safety, and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Support stock checks and proper storage of flour, ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products.
  • Assist with other production duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Experience in food manufacturing, bakery, noodle, pastry, or wrapper production is preferred.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, handle ingredients, and work in a warm production environment.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, or overtime when required.
  • Able to follow recipes, work instructions, hygiene procedures, and safety rules.
  • Relevant food-safety or food-handling certification is preferred or must be obtained where required.
  • Training may be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
