Edufarm seeks an individual freelance barista trainer to conduct a beginner coffee and latte art workshop.

Assignment details

  • Friday, 6 November 2026, 2–3.30pm (90 minutes).
  • Location: Choa Chu Kang, Singapore.
  • Approximately 15–20 participants.
  • One-off freelance assignment, with setup beforehand and cleanup afterwards; arrival time to be agreed.
  • Espresso machine, grinder and workshop tools provided by Edufarm.

Workshop programme

  1. Welcome and coffee introduction — 10 minutes: coffee beans, origins and basic flavour differences.
  2. Barista demonstration — 15 minutes: espresso-making workflow, equipment use and safety.
  3. Hands-on espresso making — 20 minutes: guide participants through making espresso.
  4. Latte art — 45 minutes: demonstrate milk steaming and simple pouring techniques, followed by guided practice.

Requirements

  • Former Starbucks barista preferred; trainer or shift supervisor experience is an advantage.
  • Available for freelance work and able to lead the full workshop.
  • Skilled in espresso preparation, milk steaming and basic latte art.
  • Patient, clear explanations for complete beginners, with step-by-step guidance and repeated demonstrations where needed.
  • Able to adapt activities for seated participants.
  • Safe handling of hot liquids and equipment; responsible for workstation setup and cleanup.
  • Able to accommodate hot chocolate, matcha and oat milk options, subject to agreed ingredients and arrangements.
