Job Description: Private Tutor (Primary and Secondary Levels)

Company Overview: We are Singapore’s first dedicated matching platform for children with learning or special needs. Our mission is to connect children with freelance professionals across five key areas: Tuition, Early Education, Early Intervention, Therapy & Counseling, and Enrichment Activities. Position: Private Tutor (Primary and Secondary Levels)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one tuition to primary and secondary school students.
  • Develop personalised lesson plans and resources that align with each student’s learning needs and school curriculum.
  • Utilise creative and engaging teaching methods to support students in achieving academic success, particularly those with learning or special needs.
  • Assess students’ progress and provide timely feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Work closely with parents, caregivers, and our administrative team to ensure consistent support for the student.
  • Stay updated on the latest teaching methods and special education trends, especially for students with SEN (Special Educational Needs).

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a diploma in education or relevant subjects. MOE or Special Education qualifications are highly regarded.
  • Prior experience working with children, especially those with special needs or learning difficulties, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and customise learning plans based on the student's progress and needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students achieve their potential.

Compensation:

  • Part-Time Tutor: Up to $60/hr
  • Full-Time Tutor: Up to $90/hr
  • Early Childhood Educator: Up to $70/hr
  • MOE/Special Ed Tutor: Up to $140/hr
  • Enrichment Specialist (dance, art, swimming, etc.): Up to $120-150 per session
  • Therapist (speech, occupational, physiotherapy, etc.):Up to $200-220/hr
  • Psychologist: Up to $250/hr
  • Counsellor: Up to $150/hr
