Full-Time Personal Trainer

Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Fitness / Personal Training Location: Singapore

We are looking for a passionate, energetic and commercially driven Full-Time Personal Trainer to join our team.

This is a Personal Training and sales-focused role. In addition to delivering high-quality training sessions, you will be responsible for actively engaging members, generating Personal Training leads, conducting consultations, closing PT sales and building your own client portfolio.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people achieve their fitness goals while also being comfortable working towards sales and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fitness consultations, goal-setting discussions and assessments with prospective and existing clients.
  • Design safe, effective and personalised training programmes based on each client's goals, fitness level and individual needs.
  • Provide general nutrition and healthy eating guidance, within the scope of the trainer’s qualifications, to support clients in achieving their fitness and body composition goals.
  • Conduct professional one-to-one Personal Training sessions.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust training programmes where necessary.
  • Educate and motivate clients on proper exercise techniques, training principles and healthy lifestyle habits.
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of service to improve client satisfaction, retention and results.

Personal Training Sales

  • Proactively engage gym members and identify potential Personal Training clients.
  • Generate PT leads through gym-floor interaction, member engagement and referrals.
  • Conduct PT consultations and trial sessions with prospective clients.
  • Understand each prospect's fitness goals and recommend suitable Personal Training packages.
  • Follow up consistently with PT leads and professionally close PT package sales.
  • Work towards individual monthly PT sales and revenue targets while building and retaining your own client portfolio.

Member Engagement & Club Responsibilities

  • Build positive and professional relationships with gym members.
  • Provide basic guidance to members on safe and proper use of gym equipment where appropriate.
  • Maintain a visible and approachable presence on the gym floor.
  • Support membership sales, club promotions, events and member engagement activities where required.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, organised and welcoming gym environment.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with all clients and members.
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation, professionalism and punctuality.
  • Work closely with the Club Manager and other team members to achieve the club's overall sales and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Singaporean, PR or Malaysian
  • Recognised Personal Training / Fitness certification.
  • CPR/AED certification is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confident in approaching and engaging new people.
  • Comfortable with sales, prospecting, follow-ups and closing PT packages.
  • Target-driven and motivated to achieve both training and sales objectives.
  • Passionate about helping clients achieve meaningful fitness results.
  • Professional, responsible, reliable and self-motivated.
  • Able to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to the wider club team.
  • Able to work flexible hours based on client appointments and club requirements.
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Chinese will be an advantage.

Who Will Do Well in This Role?

A successful Personal Trainer is not only someone who knows how to train.

You should be able to connect with people, understand their goals, earn their trust and confidently recommend Personal Training when it can help them achieve better results.

We are looking for someone who is proactive and comfortable approaching members rather than waiting for clients to be assigned to them. You should take ownership of building your own client base, following up with prospects and achieving your PT sales targets.

Most importantly, we want someone who takes genuine pride in their clients' progress and represents the club professionally at all times.
