Job Summary

You will perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, supporting their well-being and assisting nursing staff as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and toilets, including sanitary fittings and floors, according to approved hygiene procedures and cleaning schedules. Replenish assigned supplies.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean floors, furniture and fixtures in resident rooms, corridors, common areas and other assigned locations. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces at the prescribed frequency.
  • Make unoccupied resident beds and replace bedding according to the linen-change schedule and when soiled. Coordinate with nursing/care staff where a resident requires assistance or remains in bed.
  • Clean the dining hall, tables and designated meal-service surfaces.
  • Clean offices, meeting rooms and administrative areas, including floors, desks, accessible surfaces and high-touch points. Empty rubbish bins and replenish assigned supplies. Do not move documents, open drawers or handle confidential records or personal belongings without authorisation.
  • Empty designated bins, replace liners and transport segregated waste to approved collection points. Follow waste-handling procedures and promptly report improperly discarded sharps or other hazardous items.
  • Transport residents’ clothing, linen and other assigned washable items to and from designated collection points. Keep clean and soiled items separate during handling and transport. Follow approved procedures and use appropriate PPE when handling soiled or contaminated items.
  • Keep assigned cleaning equipment, tools and storage areas clean and orderly. Perform authorised routine checks and report faults to the Operations Manager. Do not undertake repairs without authorisation and appropriate competence.
  • Complete assigned cleaning checklists and attend required training. Carry out other reasonable housekeeping-related duties assigned by the Operations Manager, with resident-area priorities coordinated with the Nurse Manager. Additional duties must remain within the employee’s training and competence and be subject to appropriate safety controls.
  • Follow infection prevention and safe work procedures, including hand hygiene, correct PPE use and approved chemical handling. Display warning signs, keep access routes clear and report spills, damage, pests, hazards and incidents. Seek assistance with tasks or loads that cannot be managed safely.
  • Respect residents’ privacy, dignity and belongings. Promptly report observed concerns about resident safety, comfort or well-being to the registered nurse, and summon immediate assistance in an emergency.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
