The posting

We are looking for a Temp Communications Officer to support communications, media relations, events and administrative operations within a public-sector organisation.

  • Duration: 11-months
  • Salary: $3,300 per month

Key Responsibilities

  • Support media relations activities, including maintaining media contact databases, coordinating media enquiries and preparing media briefs/materials.
  • Coordinate media accreditation and on-site media logistics for events, press conferences and official visits.
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of press kits, fact sheets, programme information and other communications materials.
  • Manage and organise digital repositories and media assets on SharePoint and Google Drive, including photos and multimedia content.
  • Monitor a shared feedback/enquiry mailbox, route cases to relevant stakeholders and track responses within required timelines.
  • Maintain communications-related assets and inventory, including event equipment, collateral and branded materials.
  • Provide administrative support for procurement and vendor management, including quotations, purchase orders, invoices and documentation.
  • Maintain proper filing, records and documentation for communications activities.
  • Support other communications initiatives and projects as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in communications, PR, media relations or a related role.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with good writing, editing and proofreading skills.
