Primary Objective of Position

Job Responsibilities
Curriculum and Instructional Excellence
- Lead in the development of the vision, goals, plans and implementation of PE curriculum & CCA programmes
- Customise curriculum, pedagogy and assessment methods to enhance students’ learning experiences
- Lead the implementation of a framework for monitoring and evaluating instructional programmes, classroom practices and student progress
Mentorship and People Development
- Provide mentorship and training to teaching staff to encourage performance improvement, reflective practice and facilitate skill development
- Facilitate school professional learning teams and network learning communities in the SPED sector
Projects, Pogrammes and Initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams to plan and implement school or AWWA-wide programmes
- Establish and develop partnerships with stakeholders (e.g. families, community or mainstream partners, allied professionals) to achieve desired outcomes
Organisational Management and Development
- Foster a culture of integrity, professionalism, collaboration and innovation
- Lead the formulation, implementation and evaluation of work plans and initiatives related to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and priorities
- Plan and manage allocated budget and resources
Other Expectations
- Participate in AWWA-wide programmes and initiatives
- Undertake any other relevant duties as and when assigned by the Principal, AWWA CEO or School Management Committee
Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (in Special Education) or other relevant education/teaching qualification which conferred by NIE.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience Special Education with at least 2 years in a Senior Teacher position in school settings
- Experience working with persons with disabilities is an added advantage
