About the Role: The Head of PCS is responsible for the overall support and development of students and staff in Stamford’s on-campus and online program. The program is tailored to meet the needs of students in grade 6-10 in acquiring academic English to matriculate into the mainstream school. This position requires a culturally responsive leader who is particularly adept at cross-cultural communication, working with a small team to achieve their best and embracing innovation and new approaches to learning.
Position Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role
- Demonstrated successful experience as a school leader
- Ability to collaborate with other leaders
- Experience in an International School environment
- Experience in teaching EAL students
- Experience with and a commitment to a personalised learning approach
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Capacity to demonstrate a commitment to and a vision for the “intensive” nature of PCS
- Mandarin language skills are preferred
- Exemplify the IB learner profile – knowledgeable, inquirer, open-minded, principled, caring, communicator, risk taker, thinker, balanced, reflective
- Demonstrate the Stamford Values – Integrity, Courage, Ingenuity and Compassion
Qualifications:
- Strong Academic Qualifications at post-graduate level
- Master's/Doctorate degree or equivalent in educational leadership/ administration (strongly preferred)
- TESOL qualifications or the equivalent
