The posting

Our client, a distinctive luxury hospitality group, is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded sales leader to take on a group-level role overseeing two highly individual properties.

The role will lead sales across both hotels, with a strong focus on international luxury leisure, while tailoring commercial strategies to each property’s unique positioning, market and customer base. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality sales professional ready to broaden their leadership scope and progress towards a wider commercial leadership role.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Develop and execute differentiated sales strategies for each property, reflecting their unique positioning, scale, target audiences and commercial objectives.
  • Lead the overall group sales direction, with a particular focus on international luxury leisure business.
  • Identify and prioritise key geographic markets, customer segments, accounts and partnership opportunities for each property.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with luxury travel advisors, tour operators, destination specialists, consortia and preferred partner programmes.
  • Develop a highly targeted, relationship-led sales strategy for the heritage property, while driving broader market penetration and segment development for the resort.
  • Lead, coach and develop the on-property sales and reservations teams, fostering a high-performing and commercially focused culture.
  • Represent the properties at selected international trade shows, sales missions, roadshows and client events.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key partners, ensuring consistent follow-up, conversion and relationship management.
  • Partner closely with hotel leadership and revenue teams on pricing, forecasting, inventory and distribution decisions.
  • Monitor and analyse key commercial metrics, including business mix, booking pace, occupancy, average rate, RevPAR, conversion and channel performance.
  • Identify differences in demand patterns and booking behaviours across the two properties and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Translate commercial data and market insights into clear sales priorities and actionable plans for the teams.
  • Strengthen direct business and improve reservations conversion, response standards and follow-up.
  • Ensure rates, inventory, offers and property content are accurately and consistently represented across relevant distribution channels.
  • Work closely with marketing to align campaigns, partnerships, communications and content with the commercial priorities of each property.
  • Establish clear sales targets, reporting processes and performance accountability across the group.
  • Build a collaborative, energetic and commercially driven culture while preserving the individual identity and positioning of each property.

Qualification and Requirements

The successful candidate will have progressive sales experience within luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end travel and be ready to take their first step into a group-level leadership role.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven track record of generating and converting business within luxury hospitality.
  • Experience within the international luxury leisure market.
  • Established relationships with luxury travel advisors, tour operators, consortia, and preferred partner programmes.
  • Strong existing industry network, with the ability to build and develop new strategic relationships.
  • Experience selling and positioning properties with distinct identities, scales, and commercial objectives.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with an understanding of business that supports rather than dilutes brand positioning and rate integrity.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising sales and/or reservations teams.
  • Sound understanding of hotel pricing, forecasting, business mix, and distribution.
  • Ability to interpret commercial reports and leverage data to inform sales strategies and priorities.
  • Understanding of the relationship between sales, marketing, revenue strategy, and brand positioning.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required.

Personal Attributes:

  • Engaging, polished, and credible, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Commercially ambitious, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented.
  • Curious, energetic, and proactive in identifying new business opportunities.
  • Able to represent each property authentically while adapting sales strategies to its individual positioning.
  • Demonstrates sound commercial discipline without taking an overly transactional approach.
  • Motivated by the opportunity to grow into a broader commercial leadership position as the group continues to evolve.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
